I'm Free! - camping it up in 1970s British TV comedy
Is this storming the barricades or weathering the storm? In this talk Peter Billingham will focus upon two hugely successful TV comedies from the 1970s Are You Being Served? and It Aint Half Hot Mum as barometers of British society at the time and especially attitudes towards gay men. Irreverent, hilarious and provocative (and that's just the talk). I'm Free will feature DVD extracts from both shows.

This lecture is organised to mark LGBT month.

Admission is free, but places are limited so please make a reservation by contacting events@port.ac.uk or 023 9284 3757
