ANOTHER SIDE OF THE RAINBOW |
|
| Description | Studies in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender lives The London Borough of Southwark marks LGBT History Month 2010 with a photography installation, featuring profiles of some members of its LGBT community. Another side of the rainbow demonstrates that there's more to sexual orientation than any one symbol can capture or communicate - even when it's the universally recognised rainbow flag. The exhibition combines the photography of Rehan Jamil with segments from the life stories of the participants, resulting in an installation that ultimately celebrates the commonalities of the human condition. Profiles include: The Worshipful Mayor of Southwark, Councillor Jeff Hook, LGBT rights activists Peter Tatchell and Sue Sanders, Supt Steve Deehan, Southwark Police, & Canon Giles Goddard, St John's, Waterloo. |
