Monday 19th February

Film: Tarnation
Tarnation is a film made by Jonathan Caouette on a shoe string budget. Part documentary, part narrative fiction, part home movie the film won many awards from a number of film festivals including Cannes. Utilising old answerphone messages, dramatic re-enactments, video diaries, early short films and Super-8 home movies the film charts the life of Jonathan since he was 11 years old.

Breaking the code
Film about Alan Turing (played by Derek Jacobi) the mathematical genius recruited by the British Government during World War II to decipher the German's "Enigma Code". Turing was later persecuted for his homosexuality.

Queers in the City
Queers in the City University LGBT host the launch party of their LGBT with students attending from   10 different universities in London!! All students and their friends are welcome to attend. Entry: £2 b4 9pm, £3 after Location: Spencer St, EC1V 0HB (Nearest tube: Angel). Expect various drink promos inc. shots for a quid...., a late license, our no.1 in-house DJ Tommy A, and of course, LOADS of Queers in the City!!! Afterwards...we will be heading to G.A.Y Late!!...(free entry available on the night for G.A.Y Late)

Gay Times Retrospective (until 10th March)
Curated by Richard Smith. In partnership with Homotopia, Gay Times present a retrospective exhibition documenting 35 years of life affirming moments from the vast Gay Times archive. Entertaining, enlightening and educational. From the early days of Gay Liberation Front in 1971 to the recent civil partnerships of the 21st century.

Talk by author Jenny Roberts
Jenny is a crime writer and the author of Needle Point and Breaking Point featuring lesbian detective, Cameron McGill. Her third book Dead Reckoning is set in Manchester's gay village. Jenny will be reading from her works and talking about her eventful life.
