A historical stroll through streets that have witnessed the fascinating secrets, trials, and triumphs of gay life for nearly a thousand years.

Other info: The film explores, through 120 film clips, the role of LGBT people as seen on the screen, from crual stereotypes to the activist triumphs of the 1990s. Lily Tomlin narrates with winning movie makers, Rod Epstein and Jerry Friedman, assembling fabulous footage which shows how the cinema's distorted depictions affected the lives of LGBT people. The cinema has a good cafe/bar.
