An event for LGBT people 50+. “Help us compile a community history of our achievements as LGBT people, and as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community members.  We will look at decades in the past and the ways we ourselves made history within them – whether this was in a LGBT subculture, in our relationships and families, through organisations like Gay

Liberation Front, the Women’s Liberation Movement and the Campaign for Homosexual Equality, at work, or by simply living our lives as lesbians, gay men, bisexual or transgender people. Whether you came out or transitioned many years ago, or just last year, if you are an older LGBT community member come and make our history with us – and celebrate.

Out for Our Children website and book launch
Out for Our Children produces books and resources that reflect the lives and family experiences of young children with lesbian parents. This event launches the group's website, and its first book 'Spacegirl Pukes' written by Katy Watson and illustrated by Vanda Carter.

LGBT History Quiz Night
The Caledonian Thebans are supporting LGBT History Month 2007 by holding a Scottish themed LGBT Quiz Night.  Everyone is welcome to come along to our not-too-serious quiz on LGBT people, things and events.  Grab a few friends and come and share your knowledge, learn stuff you never knew, have laugh and raise money for charity.  Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.  Maximum 5 people per team.  Teams can be made up on the night. GMB London region hosts a reception to celebrate LGBT History month for its members and other trade unionists.  Music by Claire Mooney, book launch by Peter Purton.

Joe Orton: A Portrait with Leonie Orton-Barnett
For the first time, Equity's LGBT Committee will be celebrating the contribution performers have made to LGBT history as part of LGBT History Month.  To mark the 40th anniversary year of Joe Orton's death, we will be holding an evening in converstation with Leonie Orton-Barnett, Joe Orton's sister, to explore Joe's life in Leicester, his leaving Leicester for RADA and his meeting Kenneth Halliwell.  The evening will include a number of readings by Equity members from Joe's plays and diaries.
