To encourage LGBT people to attend an open day on health issues, pick up information, ask questions and
interact with services and other members of the LGBT community; to encourage generic and LGBT services to promote themselves; to promote LGBT services/agencies and diversity within diversity; to have fun and examine interactive mechanisms for promoting health. As part of the Department of Health
strategy to make it easier for LGBT people to access health services, people will also be invited to volunteer to have their photo taken to be used in DH and NHS health promotion
leaflets and campaigns.

‘Duckie’ Queer History revue, London
The infamous award winning ‘Duckie’ at the Royal Vauxhal tavern is proud to announce a special night to celebrate Lambeth’s LGBT History Month with a special performance by the legendary Bette Bourne. Bette will be performing some new material prepared especially for the night, and will share past experiences of his friendship with Quentin Crisp and his involvement with the Gay Liberation Front. This is a rare opportunity to see this unique and much cherished performer in Lambeth’s most historical Queer building.

Lesbian Archive & Information Centre, Glasgow
The Lesbian Archive and Information Centre (LAIC) was set up in London in 1984 and contains the UK's largest and most significant collection of materials about lesbian lives, activism and achievements. On this one hour talk and tour around the archive, you will see magazines, journals and banners from the lives and battles of lesbian and bi women and encounter that oft thought mythical concept of “ lesbian humour ” in comics and fanzines.
