Walking Proud in Islington London

Coinciding with Valentines Day and a private viewing of Orton in Islington. Proud Heritage launches an online initiative to gather local history and memories around the borough into a permanent online exhibition. Islington has played a unique role in London and national lesbian and gay history: from the first gay rights demo and Pride marches to a multitude of ground-breaking community organisations, which included the GLF, Friend, GALOP and LAGER, Stonewall and Switchboard and so much more

Modern History in the making: Room 101, Edinburgh

What factors about being an LGBT person in 2006 would you like to get rid of? The Head of the Scottish Executive’s Equality Unit will host a light-hearted debate with the LGBT Network on the aspects of modern LGBT life that staff would like to see made history: Gay Bars?
