With Section 28 gone and attitudes towards homosexuality changing, why is it that LGBT students still get no relevant sex education?  Do you think that this is wrong?  Are you worried about the increasing rates of sexually transmitted infections in the UK? One in Three…, Edinburgh

Recent studies have suggested that one in three LGBT people face mental health issues and as many as one in five have attempted suicide. This figure is five times the national average, and worryingly not enough is being done to combat this.

Want to find out more about the mental health issues that face the LGBT community?  Want to know more about the reasons for this?  Or maybe you want to add something to the discussion?  If so then why not come along and put your questions to our guest speaker from the LGBT Health and Wellbeing Centre.

Forward, Not Back? Edinburgh

The Labour Party slogan for the 2005 General Election was 'Forward, Not Back.' But what has Blair done for LGBT rights?  Has this government led the way in dramatic and positive change?  Or has it been pushed every step of the way, selling LGBT people short? This is your chance to have your say, to defend or attack this government's record on LGBT rights, and to hear the political parties on campus state their case.  Who will you side with?
